Digital technologies have become a habitual part of Moscow residents’ lives, and 99% of citizens routinely use at least one Internet service or one digital platform. This was announced by Dmitry Ontoev, adviser to the head of the Moscow Department of Information Technologies, during the panel discussion, Could You Please Pass This Money to the Driver? / Can I Cut the Line with Just a Small Question? or Things we no Longer Remember in the Age of Tech.
Yet about 80% of the capital’s residents believe that technology has improved their daily lives.
“We understand that technology is changing life. And Muscovites assess these changes positively. Some 80% of Muscovites believe that technology has changed their lives for the better. And many things that used to be inconvenient are becoming comfortable,” Dmitry Ontoev emphasized.
He believes the integration of technology into people’s daily lives has already become a “reality trend”: around 70% of the capital’s residents spend more than 6 hours online every day, and almost every Muscovite uses smart devices.
“The Internet takes up as much time in our lives as sleep,” noted the adviser to the head of the Moscow Department of Information Technologies.
