“Road to Yalta”: Russian Songs from International Guests on the GDF Stage!

Russian traditions, folk crafts, soulful music, cheerful ring dances, and energetic performances — all this awaits you at the GDF After Party! The stage will feature outstanding performers from Nizhny Novgorod, as well as international guests — the participants of the “Road to Yalta” international music festival.

Russia has always welcomed and accepted other cultures with an open heart. For centuries, guests from different countries have brought their customs and knowledge with them — and have invariably been surprised and charmed by what they saw in return. Rich history, generous nature and the traditions of many peoples living in our country have all come together to form the great Russian culture – one that draws interest and respect across the whole world. It is no surprise that foreign performers who come to Russia to study, work, or take part in competitions not only share their own talents, but also happily immerse themselves in the local cultural scene and enrich their repertoires with famous Russian songs.

Winners and laureates of the “Road to Yalta” international music festival will perform at the GDF After Party. The festival has been running for seven years. Every year, on the eve of Victory Day, singers from 15 countries who passed the online qualifier gather in Russia to perform most beloved songs about the Great Patriotic War in their native languages.

Friendship with the festival’s participants goes beyond the event itself. International singers have gladly accepted the invitation to perform for the guests of the Global Digital Forum in Nizhny Novgorod. Vocalists from Ecuador, China, Indonesia, the United States and Moldova will take the stage. The program, organized by the festival’s chief director Polina Berten, will feature both Russian and international hit songs.

The finale of the party will be a true surprise! Get ready to meet Russia as it really is: modern, open, welcoming — and 100% authentic!
