Ethical Hacking: “Positive Hack Days” Cybersecurity Festival Runs at Luzhniki

On May 22, the international annual cybersecurity festival Positive Hack Days opened at the Luzhniki complex. The event runs for three days, concluding on May 24.

The festival has been held since 2011 with the support of Positive Technologies and is rightfully considered one of the largest cyber events of the year. More than 400 talks from experts and business representatives are available to 130,000 viewers and conference attendees.

For Professionals

The expert segment of the event is a traditional part of the festival that brings together cybersecurity professionals and businesses for networking and knowledge exchange.

This year, the festival welcomed delegations from 41 countries, including regions of Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Over 500 speakers represent a wide range of fields across information security, IT, and business.

The program for cybersecurity specialists includes three main tracks:

●     Cyberhub – thematic reports and research by international experts, open-source project presentations, Positive Labs activities, and contests.

●     Cyberarena – a space for dialogue between businesses and experts on the development of cybersecurity at company, industry, and state levels.

●     Standoff Cyberbattle – an annual competition that realistically simulates cyberattacks and their investigations on replicas of real IT systems. Over 5,000 experts from around the world have already participated in the cyberbattle, and more than 500 companies have become more resilient to attacks thanks to their employees’ involvement.

For Everyone Looking to Understand the Digital World

The public section of the festival is an open-air cybercity where visitors can learn about the digital world, technologies, IT careers, and also enjoy movie nights, art, and concerts.

Adults can learn how to protect themselves from scammers and cybercriminals, while children can begin exploring the basics of ‘white hat hacking’. The cybercity features interactive quest installations, a university and internship alley, the KULIBIN popular science stage with expert talks, and over 20 activities and art installations for the whole family. On May 24, guest stars Uma2rman, Minaeva, and GRANGE will perform at the festival.

Participants of the Global Digital Forum will also have the opportunity to attend a workshop hosted by the organizers of Positive Hack Days. The session, titled “The Light Side of the Force: An Introduction to White Hat Hacking” will be part of the educational track and will be held on June 5 from 13:30 to 18:00.
