The first Global Digital Forum will take place in Nizhny Novgorod on June 5–6, with more than 110 countries expressing interest in attending it.
The Forum is shaping up to be a truly multi-stakeholder platform, bringing together representatives of governments, businesses, academia, the research community, as well as regional and international organizations — first and foremost the United Nations. The largest group of participants comes from the private sector, followed by representatives of government institutions, educational organizations, civil society, and international bodies.
This interest reflects the growing global demand for equal dialogue and trustworthy digital solutions — which Russia is offering to the international community.
The program of the forum includes around 60 sessions, educational tracks, and interactive events, with the participation of 130 recognized experts from Russia and all over the world. International guests are particularly interested in the following sessions: “Staying Smart in a Smart city: How Technologies Transform Engagement between City and its Residents”, “Trusted AI in the Era of Global Distrust: Technological Aspects, Ethics, and Regional Specifics”, and “AI for the Good: Applying AI to Ensure Equal Opportunities”, as well as the business breakfast “Information Security: Strength through Cooperation”. Programs dedicated to cybersecurity, fact-checking, ‘white hacking’ and blogging are among the most popular educational tracks.
Around 100 bilateral and multilateral agreements are expected to be signed during the forum.
Nearly 4,000 participants have applied to attend, with more than half representing international partners. The event will be held at a high political level, with the participation of around 30 digital development ministers and deputy ministers from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Gulf region, and Europe. Notably, over 50% of attendees are under the age of 35, and another 30% are under 50.
More than 60 international media outlets have been accredited to cover the Forum.
The first Global Digital Forum will be a significant step forward in advancing Russia’s digital agenda launched at the 10th anniversary CIPR Conference (CIPR-2025).
