Bella Cherkesova took part in international events on telecommunication development

Bishkek, April 25, 2025 — Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Finance, took part in the Regional Preparatory Meeting for the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) World Telecommunication Development Conference for the CIS countries.

The meeting was held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), the Deputy Minister acted as the Chairman of the Regional Commonwealth Commission in the Field of Communications (RCC) for the Coordination of International Cooperation (CMS).

In her speech, Bella Cherkesova noted that IT and telecom infrastructure, services and solutions are necessary for the digital transformation of society and the economy. She also welcomed the holding of the Ninth World Telecommunication Development Conference, which will be held from November 17 to 28, 2025, for the first time in our Region – in Baku (Azerbaijan).

Bella Cherkesova invited all participants to the first Global Digital Forum, which will be held from June 5 to 6, 2025 in Nizhny Novgorod. The forum will be held on the sidelines of the CIPR conference. It will be attended by more than a thousand IT experts from all over the world, as well as more than 10,000 people online. The forum will also become a platform for the possible signing of agreements on mutually beneficial cooperation in the digital sphere.

Bella Cherkesova also led the 48th/53rd joint meeting of the Commission of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications for the Coordination of International Cooperation (CCM) and the Working Group on Work with the International Telecommunication Union at the CCM.
