The Malian outlet lessor.ml reports on the success of blogger N'Djenaba Gueye, a 22-year-old student from Bamako, who became the winner of a competition held during the Global Digital Forum in Nizhny Novgorod.
“Tech Roulette” is a GDF platform competition for bloggers. Participants were asked to randomly select a speaker or guest of the Forum and conduct a 60-second mini-interview on the topic of digital trends.
The winner was 22-year-old N'Djenaba Gueye, a second-year student of the “Finance and Accounting” program at the Higher School of Business (ISC) in Mali. For the past year, she has been creating content for the Sahelian Perspective Association, which she represented at the Forum. Through her online platform, the award winner shares what she calls “truthful content” about her personal life experience.
In the award-nominated video, the blogger showcases Russian infrastructure, accompanying the footage with commentary in French on the beauty of the country.
"I was filming daily TikToks about my trip to Russia, showing the country as it is. Eventually, those videos earned me this award," N'Djenaba Gueye told lessor.ml. “For me, it’s a way to inspire and support young people. I want them to believe that anything is possible. That’s my motivation — to shoot and edit every video,” she added.
She notes that she loves what she does and simply wants to be herself. The blogger plans to continue posting videos in the same format as the content created during her time in Russia. As lessor.ml points out, her success is an example of how a phone in hand can become a powerful tool.
